mutuol is a multi-partner organization based in europe. we share infrastructure, finances, domestic operations, and a life together.
we share servers, groceries, cars, and a life. the way we keep it from falling apart is writing everything down and running it with process. except everyone sleeps together.
you get logins before you get a toothbrush spot. there are retros, there are docs, and the house runs the same way everything else does.
we overthink shared living on purpose. if it can be a process, it is one.
biweekly retrospectives with documented action items. we have a PM for both the projects and the people. feelings get triaged, followed up on, and closed out.
a shared stack across storage, media, monitoring, and home network. SSO-provisioned from day one. you'll have access to the jellyfin instance before you have a house key.
like any shared living situation, you pay rent and split groceries. contributing to shared infrastructure (hosting, vehicles, etc.) is optional. full time household roles get rent, food, and a stipend instead of requiring outside employment. quarterly reviews keep it honest.

you go on a few dates, do a sleepover trial, and if it works you get onboarded: SSO, calendar access, your dietary stuff written down, and a copy of the partner guide. work arrangements are flexible. see our work policy.
if a partnership ends, there's a 31-day window to sort out access, accounts, and who owns what. it's not fun, but the process exists so it doesn't have to be worse than it already is.
