zurich.
satellite office. infrastructure, reliability, and quiet, focused work.
overview
zurich keeps the technical foundations boring: storage systems, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and hosting space for partners who need it.
zurich pairs with amsterdam on shared infrastructure and cross-border finance.
it's smaller than amsterdam. fewer handoffs, decisions land the same day.
working here
remote-first
distributed team
mostly remote, async by default. the physical space is there when you want it.
infrastructure
bare-metal and ZFS
bare-metal, ZFS, and the deploy pipeline all live here. on-call is quiet on purpose.
location
alpine access
the alps are 40 minutes away. the train system is absurdly good. you will use both.
autonomy
local budget authority
zurich has its own budget up to a threshold. past that, or on anything cross-office, the exec team decides.
open roles
zurich-eligible roles are on the careers page. current finance and people & feelings openings.
points of interest
most work is async, but the team gets together when a problem needs a room, a whiteboard, and a meal after.
