work arrangements
each position listed on our careers page includes a work arrangement tag. here's what each one means in practice.
on-site
you're here every day
applies to roles that require physical presence: cooking, vehicles, and on-prem infrastructure. you work from the denver office.
hybrid
~1 week per month on-site
you work remotely most of the time but spend about one week each month at your nearest office. we coordinate on-site weeks around planning and shared meals.
remote (on-site preferred)
remote, with regular visits preferred
the role is remote, but the work goes better in person sometimes. come in for planning weeks or team retros.

fully remote
no required on-site time. visits are up to you; if you want to come over, we'll find you a bed. remote roles run on mountain time (UTC-7). you'll be online roughly US business hours. pay is in USD.
these categories aren't rigid. people move between them. what matters is spending real time together. shared meals, retros, and the kind of midnight conversations that only happen when you live with the people you build things with.
equipment: mutuol is BYOD. bring your own laptop, phone, or whatever you work on. if you need a loaner while you're getting set up, we have them.
